Jane: I couldn't be happier that Jax has found someone special.
Skye: Well, you never can tell with Jax.
Jane: Oh, yes, you can. Jax is in love with you. And for my son, being in love is not a passing fancy. Once it takes hold, it's a permanent state.
[Jax and John come inside]
John: Buy a backpack and a pair of hiking boots.
Skye: Dare I ask?
John: You're coming with us to unchartered territory.
Jax: The Canadian wilderness.
John: A piece of heaven on earth right on top of the oil reserves that'll soon net the Jacks family a second fortune. Yes, we'll be camping right here, smack in the middle of a petroleum...
Skye: No, don't tell me! I don't want to know!
Jax: What's wrong?
Skye: I, I...
Jane: Oh, you men, putting poor Skye on the spot. Do you honestly think camping with her lover's parents is her idea of a dream vacation?
Skye: Oh, you know, actually, I mentioned before that I'm not really much of a camper.
John: Oh, well, we can cure that in no time.
Jane: You simply haven't been camping with the Jackses.
Jax: My parents don't give up easily, do they?

John: We'll coordinate the time for the trip. Meanwhile, your highness, we'd better get going.
Jane: I would like a moment with Skye.
John: It's been a pleasure, Skye. We'll see you again, soon, I hope.
Skye: Oh, have a good flight.
Jax: I'll be, I'll be back soon.
Skye: Oh, all right.
[John and Jax leave]
Jane: If we had known we were going to like you so much, we would have scheduled a longer stay.
[Jane places her Inuit bracelet around Skye's wrist]
Skye: Oh. Oh, no, no, not your bracelet, that's too special.
Jane: That's why I'm giving it to you.
Skye: Oh, I, I don't know what to say.
Jane: Now, this Inuit symbol is for peace, and this one is for happiness. May the bracelet bring you both.
Skye: Thank you so much.
Jane: Good-bye, dear. We'll be in touch.
Edward: My God, what long-winded bores. I thought they'd never leave.
Skye: Grandfather!
Edward: I was right. The Jacks have a $5 billion ace up their sleeve. Won't they be surprised when they find out that we've stacked the deck, huh?
Skye: There's nothing for you to get a jump on.
Edward: You are lying to me, Skye. You know what, young lady? You are going to end up penniless and alone because you have let your head be turned by a suave rogue and his charming parents.
Skye: You are entitled to your opinion.
Edward: I had great hopes for you, Skye. You're intelligent and you are resourceful and you have backbone. That's why I offered you the chance to get your Quartermaine legacy back. But you have chosen to throw it all away for a brief passing stint as a rich man's toy. I am very disappointed, but, as you say, it's your decision.
[he heads for the door]
Skye: They're drilling for oil in Canada.
Edward: Oh. Well, big place, Canada. Did they
say where?
Skye: No. There's a map.
[Edward smiles, then leaves]
Jax: I knew it.
Skye: I, I was just trying to...
Jax: Don't invent excuses, Skye. I know what you're doing.
Skye: No, no. No, you don't.
Jax: It was bound to happen sooner or later. You saw what's in the safe.
Skye: I did. I did, and, you know, your parents actually made camping sound fun after all.
Jax: I'm on to you, Skye.
Skye: You know, we can look at it together, and you can tell me all about the wilderness and say how gorgeous it is and all that.
Jax: Yeah. So is what you saw in the safe.
Skye: It's just a map.
Jax: You know, I apologize. I should have done this weeks ago. Except my, my plan hit a snag.
Skye: What's that?
Jax: It's a little late for a show of innocence. Go ahead. Open it.
[he moves behind her]
Skye: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Is this for me?
Jax: On one condition...
[Skye turns around to find Jax kneeled down before her]
Jax: That you'll marry me.
