Jax: Dad, I'm telling you, I can still salvage the deal. The best thing for you to do is just to go ahead with the leases that we already have in place. Yeah, yeah, I got a pretty good idea who took the map. I will, I will. Just proceed as we discussed, and I'll call you back as soon as I can. All right.
Skye: Losing that map was a serious setback.
Jax: Yeah, it's way beyond that.
Skye: But you just said yourself you think you can turn it around.
Jax: I don't like being forced into cutting my losses. And I especially don't like my family being jerked around. Salvaging the deal this time isn't good enough. I want revenge.
Skye: Since when? This isn't the way you are.
Jax: It is when I'm double-crossed. Skye, we're getting married, so you should understand. I am, I am all for fair challenges, but I will not tolerate thieves or spies. And I have no mercy when it comes to payback.
Skye: Why make it personal? Jax, I mean, since I've known you, you've closed, what, three multimillion-dollar deals? It could have been one of those people or 50 like them who would have stolen that map, I mean, a bitter adversary just looking to hurt you.
Jax: No, no. Whoever took that map had inside information and access. The most likely candidate is Edward. He has a personal vendetta against you and ample resources at his disposal. Or Roy, who was here just yesterday. How convenient is that?
Skye: Roy sounded pretty sincere when he wanted you to work with him against Sonny.
Jax: No, no, no, see, he just came here because he wanted to get his foot in the door. He was canvassing the house the whole time and he saw the safe. I'm sure he knows his way around one. And he waited till we went sailing, and then he came in and took the map.
Skye: What about Sonny? Could have been him.
Jax: No. No, Sonny would sooner torch this place before he robbed it. I wouldn't put it past Edward. But this time, my money is on Dilucca. You see, he's out to make a name for himself. He wants to make some fast money. He doesn't have the resources to use the map on his own, so he's probably going to sell it for a lot of money unless I find a way to stop him.
-------------------------------------------
Roy: Well, I hope your call means that you've reconsidered my offer.
Jax: I have more pressing concerns than to help you go after Sonny. My home and safe were broken into last night, shortly after you left.
Roy: Oh, now, that sounds almost like an accusation. What the hell reason would I have to break into your place?
Jax: Must be a coincidence, then, you being there, my safe being broken into minutes later? You know, I'd hoped for a, for a better denial.
Roy: It wasn't me, Jax. How's that?
Jax: Not good enough.
Roy: Well, it'll have to do.
Jax: I think you're lying.
Roy: Think whatever you want.
Jax: You know, here's something for you to think about. If that map is not returned by tonight, I'll destroy you and everything you own. You'll be living on the street, you understand?
Sonny: You seem a little upset there, Jax? Is Mr. Dilucca giving you trouble? You're one surprise after another, Roy, making all kinds of trouble for yourself.
Roy: Oh, Sonny, you sound concerned. I'm touched.
Sonny: No, I'm just afraid this sudden ambition has clouded your judgment. First, you contaminate a coffee shipment, then you blow up my warehouse. Now you got Jax all over you. You doing this on your own or you got somebody else giving you orders behind the curtain, pulling the strings?
Jax: Maybe he's working for you, Corinthos. He's done it before. Yeah, maybe this whole mob war is just a smoke-screen to cover up your move against me. I mean, how far you willing to go?
Sonny: Well, I've been wondering the same about you, Jax.
Jax: Well, you can stop wondering, because I have no reason to maintain my peace with you. It'd be a pleasure to break you once and for all.
Sonny: Ok, is this where you explain again why you backed off before? Out of, out of respect for Brenda? Stop hiding behind her memory, Crocodile Boy. You want me? I'm right here.
Jax: Be careful what you wish for. Once I'm done cleaning up this mess with Dilucca, there's no telling what I might do.
[Jax leaves]
Sonny: [mimicking] "No telling what I might do." Ok, Roy. You're getting it from all sides now. Why don't you just tell me who's running you, before it's too late.
-------------------------------------------
Alcazar: Have you been in my desk again? You might have misplaced something very important. Hey, no harm done. It was a minor episode, easily remedied. The most important thing is that you always come to me when you're upset or confused. Didn't I tell you I'd always take care of you? You just have to trust me.
